2006/2007 Toyota AMA Arenacross Series Kawasaki’s #7 Shawn Clark to miss Season

 

 

Waukesha, WI – The 2005/2006 Toyota AMA Arenacross Series was a very successful season for UNBOUND ENERGY / TeamVRM.com rider Shawn Clark as he moved his national AX number from #9 to #7.  Clark consistently put his UNBOUND ENERGY / TeamVRM.com  / Kawasaki on the podium in the AX Lites class (11 wins).   He built off his Lites races to race the AX class and at years end secured the #7 for this season.

 

Unfortunately Shawn feel victim to an accident this summer due to an engine failure, which injured his shoulder.  After attempting to rehab the shoulder the decision was made to have it surgically repaired.  All is going well during the healing and rehab process but to ensure full recovery Shawn will miss the 2006/2007 Toyota AMA Arenacross Series. 

 

Shawn stated, “Initially I was really bummed about missing the season but eventually gave into the idea and accepted the cards dealt to me.  Last year was awesome with UNBOUND ENERGY / TeamVRM.com backing me the program was really fun and I’ll look to ride for them again in the summer. “

 

Bubba Bunders, Marketing & Riding Support manager of VRM stated, “Shawn was awesome to work with.  We were hoping to step things up more this year for him but it wasn’t meant to be.   We will just wait until he gets back to 100%”

 

Shawn comically commented, “Looking into things I guess it will keep the casual fan from being confused each weekend during the AX series saying Stewart is out there…  (Laugh, Laugh) since I would’ve been running a #7 Kawasaki as well. “

 

During recovery Shawn is currently attending college and looking forwards to riding in the future.
